Crisis Planner is a digital household preparedness product operated by Darren Thompson in Alberta, Canada. Darren Thompson is responsible for privacy enquiries. Contact support@crisisplanner.net.

Information we store

We store your account name and email; household and residence details; family members, ages, roles, contact information, allergies, medical conditions, medications, prescribed doses, frequency, supply targets and refrigeration needs; pets and their care requirements; vehicles; supplies and inventory notes; assessment answers; scenario selections; readiness results; generated plans; edits, checklists and binder-related records. You choose what to enter. Do not enter payment-card details, passwords, government identification numbers or information that is unnecessary for planning.

Why we use it

We use these details to save and restore your work, create household plans, calculate supply requirements, run scenario assessments, produce printable binders and provide support. Relevant planning data is sent to third-party AI services to generate responses. AI processing may involve sensitive health information you choose to provide. You may leave optional sensitive details out and withdraw consent by requesting deletion; personalization may then be limited.

Private household data

Your household and plan records are private to your account, not a public directory or material available to other customers. Authorized administrators and service providers may access them where needed to operate the service, resolve a support issue or comply with law. We do not sell your personal information or use your medical notes for advertising. A binder you print, download or share is under your control; keep it securely.

Service providers and purchases

Base44 provides hosting, database and account services. AI providers process the relevant inputs needed to generate your plan. ClickBank processes purchases and refunds under its own terms and privacy policy; we do not store your full payment-card number. Providers may process information outside Canada, where different laws and lawful-access rules may apply. We share information only for service delivery, with your consent, or as required by law.

Browser storage and usage information

Sign-in cookies and browser storage support your session. Unsaved setup and assessment changes are temporarily kept in your browser, keyed to your account, so a quick reload does not lose them; the recovery copy is removed after a successful save. On shared devices, sign out and clear site data. Basic technical information and usage events may be used for reliability and product analytics; do not put medical, household or contact details into analytics events. Optional promotional email requires your consent and can be stopped through support.

Canadian privacy rights

We handle personal information under applicable Canadian privacy law, including Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) where it applies. You may request access, a copy, correction, withdrawal of consent or deletion, subject to legal limits. We may ask for reasonable verification of identity and will respond within applicable statutory timelines. You may raise unresolved concerns with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, as applicable.

How to delete your account and data

Email support@crisisplanner.net from your registered email address with the subject “Delete my account and data.” Specify whether you want all household records and generated plans removed. After verifying your request, we will remove your app access and associated planning records, including saved setup and assessment drafts. Removing account access alone does not remove planning records, so we handle both parts. Ask for confirmation when complete. Also clear this site's browser data and delete any printed or downloaded copies you no longer need. We cannot erase copies you have shared with someone else.

Retention and security

We retain planning records while needed to provide your account and until deletion is requested. Purchase, fraud-prevention and support records may be retained where law or a legitimate unresolved dispute requires it. Deleted data may remain in provider backups or technical logs for their retention periods; it is not promised to disappear instantly from every backup. We use access restrictions and reasonable safeguards, but no system is completely secure. Contact us promptly if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission.

Children and information about others

This product is for adults planning for their households, not for children to register independently. Obtain the appropriate permission before entering another person's personal information and enter only what is necessary. A parent or guardian should decide what information about a child is appropriate.

Changes and contact

We will post changes here with an updated date and give notice when required. Questions, access requests or privacy complaints may be sent to Darren Thompson at support@crisisplanner.net.
